Robert Evans: Cheerleader

Well, after a lawsuit was filed against Capella University on allegations of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act, retaliation against a student, and denial of free and protected speech, it appears as if Capella University has finally put a cork in Shawn Ambrose's big mouth. That; however, hasn't stopped the attacks - it would appear as if Shawn has enlisted a buddy, Robert Evans, who is joining him on Capella's cheerleading squad. Like Shawn Ambrose, good 'ole Bobby is enrolled in Capella's "School of Business" run by non-other than Kurt Linberg! As to be expected, Robert Evans was not involved in any of the complaints listed on this site, nor was he a student in any of the same classes, schools, or programs, and yet he has suddenly became an "expert" on these matters.

Robert Evans First Appearance: June 22, 2005

While we can't tell if Robert Evans was a student at the illustrious Andrew Jackson University, where his buddy, Shawn Ambrose is a member of the esteemed "adjunct faculty pool" (is that like being a substitute for a substitute?), we do know that he appears to be enrolled at Capella in their "School of Business." Perhaps he's taking typing!

Aren't you taking this way too personal [sic]?? and whats [sic] wrong with Adrew [sic] Jackson University--a DETC accreditted [sic] school?? Regardless of what you accuse CapellaRocks off [sic], he is right. The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) did NOT find anything wrong with the school. Why is this so hard to admit?? The United States Department of Education rejected further investigation in this matter. Deal with it.

Shows Up Again: July 21, 2005

Robert Evans made his second attack shortly after Shawn Ambrose became unusually silent (we suspect that Capella's counsel probably shut him up). Like his buddy Shawn, Bobby started posting the same old drivel. Interestingly, Robert Evans used a new, but very similar, e-mail address as his first post:

In the following excerpt from his post, Robert Evans displays what a complete ignoramus he is: OCR doesn't enforce California laws! Duh! A portion of his attack is listed below.

Because of Robert Evans' stupidity in revealing the name of the individual who filed the complaint against Capella, he has just been included in a new complaints with Federal law enforcement agencies.

Dear board members,

If you are interested in the Capella University discussion, then please read. I would want this board to include the investigation results from the Office for Civil Rights regarding ********* complaint against Capella to clarify the truth of what really happened. [The link is ours.]

Initially, ******** filed a complaint to the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights against Capella for: retaliation against a student; failure to make accommodations to a student with learning disabilities; termination from the school and violation of the California Education Code, Section 94367.

Robert Evans is Capella Newest Cheerleader! July 24, 2005

Well, it's official, Robert Evans is now actively engaged in taking Shawn Ambrose's place. Like his buddy, this nut case is also enrolled in Capella's "School of Business" - run by non-other than Kurt Linberg - the Dean who can neither tell the truth nor spell! We wonder how long before Capella's counsel shuts this latest bozo up. Perhaps Bob Evans thinks he's making brownie points with his illustrious dean! The following comment is quite enlightening - how does one "spam" with web pages? Then there's that "complete disregard for other hard working [sic] students?" Apparently, Robert Evans is too stupid to be concerned for students that have been, and will continue to be, ripped off and abused by Capella University. Also, guess it's okay for Capella to charge $2,000 per class in order to have instructors, like Diane Stottlemyer who bought her "graduate degrees," to teach at Capella for several years. Using Robert Evans' silly "logic" it should be safe to assume that the only hard work students do is earn money in order to pay Capella's exorbitant "tuition" - taught by incompetent instructors! Certainly sounds like a diploma mill to us!

Real "hardworking" students should be appalled to learn that Capella hires and retains instructors like Diane Stottlemyer; they should be disgusted that Capella ignores genuine student complaints; and they should demand the resignation of those who run their school for retaliating against those who stand up to such incompetence!

Let's talk about "ethics" for a moment - Robert Evans, like Capella's other cheerleader, wasn't even enrolled at Capella, let alone in the same school or classes as those who complained, and yet he's now serving as Capella's de facto expert on things he wasn't involved in. Guess his classes must be run by former Enron employees (heck, they would certain fit in with other Capella instructors).

Robert Evans Will Be Sued for Defamation: July 26, 2005

It was clearly evident, from the onset, that Robert Evans was a complete nutcase. He also must be EXTREMELY stupid and has just earned himself a lawsuit for slander and libel. Just like his buddy, Shawn Ambrose, Robert Evans has stuck his big nose in a lot of places that has now earned himself that lawsuit.

While Shawn Ambrose has been vicious in his year-long crusade to earn his varsity pompoms, Robert Evans has taken things to a new extreme - he has written to the employer of another Capella student with one intention only - to libel that student by spreading lies. It should be noted that the employer Robert Evans has written to is not associated with with Capella University in any way. Interestingly, Shawn Ambrose has also stupidly referred to that same employer in some of his online vomit and, as to be expected, the information in that post also displayed a great deal of stupidity.

As writing to someone's employer without any other motivation than to damage the reputation of that person cannot be construed as anything other than malice, we hope Capella University and their agent, Robert Evans, will enjoy the additional legal problems they have now earned.

Robert Evans Caught in the Act : August 9, 2005

In addition to the fact that Robert Evans stupidly posted his defamatory actions on an Internet forum, he was also too dumb to realize that the student he defamed has an extremely good relationship with his employer. Unlike Capella University, that employer maintains high ethical standards and graciously turned over a copy of that e-mail for legal counsel.
