Fact Fifty-nine (October 19, 2007) – Capella University Kickback Scandal Info Continues to Be Reported

Capella University is getting some of the press that they deserve. The national news media is now being joined by student newspapers at other universities (gosh, we wonder why Capella doesn’t have their own autonomous student newspaper – oops, we forgot – the First Amendment has been banned by Capella) as well as blogs. Just for fun, we thought we would provided links the some of these articles:

1. Chronicle of Higher Education
a. University of California Campus Collects a Bounty for Sending Students to a For-Profit College
b. University of California Ends Deal That Paid It for Referring Students to For-Profit College
2. California State University (They’ve reprinted the article by the Chronicle of Higher Education)

3. The Los Angeles Times - UCI Ending Lucrative Transfer Agreement

4. CBS News - UCI Ends Incentive-Based Recruiting Agreement

5. The New U (UC Irvine’s student newspaper) - UCI Scrutinized for Accepting Funds

6. The Daily Californian (UC Berkeley's student newspaper) - After Public Outcry, UC Referral Deal Axed

7. Truemors.com - UC Irvine Receives $500 for Every Referral to Capella University
We’ve got to admit, even the titles of these articles are rather catchy! Happy reading!
